Gassing

1×10⁴Nm³/h Hydrogen Extraction Unit from Reformate Gas

This project employs PSA technology to purify hydrogen from the reformate gas of the heavy oil catalytic cracking unit. The designed processing capacity is 1×10⁴Nm³/h. The processed reformate gas contains approximately 75-80% hydrogen and about 15-20% CO₂. The PSA system adopts a ten-tower configuration. The adsorbent ratio and process sequence are optimized for high CO₂ content. The purity of the product hydrogen can reach 99.9%, and the recovery rate exceeds 90%.

This project is a gas separation unit for the refining facility of Shandong Kelin Petrochemical Co., Ltd., using pressure swing adsorption technology to purify hydrogen from the reformate gas for use in the hydrogenation unit. The designed processing capacity of the unit is 1×10⁴Nm³/h, processing the reformate gas from the heavy oil catalytic cracking unit. The hydrogen content in this gas is approximately 75-80%, and the CO₂ content is approximately 15-20%. The PSA system adopts a ten-tower configuration, optimizing the adsorbent ratio and process sequence for the high CO₂ content characteristic. The product hydrogen purity can reach 99.9%, and the hydrogen recovery rate exceeds 90%. The daily hydrogen production is 240,000 Nm³. The designed pressure of the unit is 2.5 MPa, using high-pressure dedicated adsorption towers and valves to ensure long-term stable operation of the system. The on-site installation period is 5 months. Considering the corrosive environment in coastal areas, key equipment uses stainless steel materials and special anti-corrosion treatment. After the installation, the annual recovered hydrogen volume exceeds 87 million Nm³, significantly reducing the raw material cost of the hydrogenation unit and improving the overall economic benefits of the refinery.
