This project adopts the skid-mounted PSA technology to recover hydrogen from the tail gas produced during styrene production. The designed processing capacity is 2,500 Nm³/h. The system employs a "pre-treatment + PSA" combined process. The pre-treatment unit effectively removes benzene compounds from the tail gas through steps such as condensation and adsorption. The PSA unit adopts a six-tower configuration, with the product hydrogen purity reaching 99.5% and the recovery rate exceeding 80%. The entire device is manufactured and tested in the factory, and only the connection of inlet and outlet pipelines and utility services is required on-site. The installation period is only 2 weeks, providing a flexible and efficient solution for the resource utilization of tail gas in petrochemical enterprises.

This project is a styrene tail gas recovery unit provided by AIR LIQUIDE (Shanghai Industrial Gas Co., Ltd.). It employs a skid-mounted pressure swing adsorption technology to recover hydrogen from the styrene production tail gas. The designed processing capacity of the unit is 2,500 Nm³/h, handling the tail gas from the styrene plant. The main components of this gas are hydrogen, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and other organic compounds. The system adopts a "pre-treatment + PSA" combined process. The pre-treatment unit includes steps such as condensation and adsorption, effectively removing benzene compounds from the tail gas and protecting the PSA adsorbent. The PSA unit uses a six-tower configuration, with the product hydrogen purity reaching 99.5%, and the hydrogen recovery rate exceeding 80%. The daily hydrogen recovery volume is 60,000 Nm³. The unit is designed in a pole-mounted configuration, with the entire system manufactured and tested in the factory, and only requires connecting the inlet and outlet pipelines and utility services on-site. The installation period is only 2 weeks. The successful application of this pole-mounted unit provides a flexible and efficient solution for the resource utilization of tail gas in petrochemical enterprises, especially suitable for situations with limited land or requiring rapid deployment.
