3600 Nm³/h Isobutylene Plant Tail Gas Hydrogen Recovery Unit

This project employs PSA technology to recover hydrogen from the tail gas produced during the production of isobutylene. The PSA system adopts an eight-tower configuration and is equipped with a dedicated pre-treatment unit to remove heavy hydrocarbons and impurities from the raw gas, protecting the lifespan of the adsorbents. The purity of the product hydrogen can reach 99.5%, and the hydrogen recovery rate exceeds 85%. The daily recovered hydrogen volume is 86,000 Nm³. The design pressure of the device is 1.8 MPa, and an automatic control system is adopted to achieve unmanned operation. The on-site installation period is 4 months. Considering the low-temperature environment in the northern winter, the system is equipped with complete anti-freezing and insulation measures. After the device is put into operation, it realizes the resource utilization of the by-product hydrogen during isobutylene production, with an annual recovered hydrogen volume of over 30 million Nm³, achieving significant economic benefits.
