This project employs PSA technology to recover hydrogen from the off-gas produced during methanol synthesis. The designed processing capacity is 1.2×10⁴Nm³/h, and the off-gas to be processed contains approximately 60-70% hydrogen. The PSA system is configured with ten towers, and the purity of the product hydrogen reaches 99.9%, with a recovery rate exceeding 87%. The designed pressure is as high as 5.2 MPa.

This project is a hydrogen recovery unit for the methanol plant of Datang Inner Mongolia Duolun Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., aiming to recover high-value hydrogen resources from the waste gas of methanol synthesis. The designed processing capacity of the unit is 1.2×10⁴Nm³/h. It adopts pressure swing adsorption (PSA) hydrogen extraction technology, treating the waste gas from the methanol synthesis loop. The hydrogen content in this gas is approximately 60-70%. The PSA system is configured with ten towers, and the product hydrogen purity reaches 99.9%. The hydrogen recovery rate exceeds 87%, and the daily recovered hydrogen volume is 288,000 Nm³. The design pressure of the unit is 5.2 MPa, and it uses high-pressure dedicated adsorption towers and programmable valves to ensure stable operation under high-pressure conditions. The on-site installation period is 6 months. Considering the low-temperature environment in Inner Mongolia, special insulation and heating designs were adopted for key equipment and pipelines. Since its commissioning, the unit has recovered over 100 million Nm³ of hydrogen annually, significantly reducing the raw material consumption of the methanol production plant and enhancing the overall economic benefits of the plant.
